Developmental editing ($150 US): One round. This is big-picture editing. I'll give you feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of your book, looking at plot, structure, character development, etc., and then I'll provide clear, actionable recommendations for improving the manuscript overall. You receive an editorial letter and an optional video call is offered.

Substantive editing ($125 US): One round. I go through line by line and focus on consistency, clarity, and continuity.

Copyediting ($100 US): One round. I check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Proofreading ($75 US): One round. ONLY AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN'S BOOKS. Comes at the end after the book has been formatted and illustrations are complete to check for any errors in the illustrations, as well as spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in the formatted text.

Developmental editing ($0.02/word): One round. This involves looking at six story elements and identifying the issues with the purpose of finding out what works, what needs work, and suggesting specific, in-depth revisions. 

Substantive editing ($0.015/word): One round. This involves a close read of the manuscript looking at the prose. I'll rewrite, break up, and streamline awkward sentences and transitions, substitute stronger words, make suggestions, give advice, and fact-check your manuscript. I'll also focus on consistency, clarity, and continuity.

Copyediting ($0.01/word): One round. This involves careful work at the sentence and word level. I'll be looking to ensure your manuscript is clear, correct, and readable by fixing minor spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.

The Picture Book Package consists of:

• a round of developmental editing, 

• a round of substantive editing, and 

• a round of copy editing, 

• followed by proofreading after the manuscript and illustrations have been formatted. 

A total of four rounds for $400 US. 

The Children's Novel Package consists of:

• a round of developmental editing, 

• a round of substantive editing, and 

• a round of copy editing

The price is based on the word count.
Ten percent (10%) off is offered when all services are packaged.
